Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva goes down tonight from the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, AZ. The fight will see the influencer-turned-boxer take on his toughest challenge to date, in an opponent who is not only a former UFC middleweight champion, and all-around MMA legend, but someone who can actually box, too.

Silva, who was released from the UFC last year, has been enjoying life in the boxing ring. Most recently, he face-plants KO’d Tito Ortiz.

There are some intriguing prelims for this card, which airs on Showtime PPV and FITE.tv.

One of those is ex-UFC fighter Uriah Hall taking on former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell (who knocked out Adrian Peterson recently). Nate Diaz teammate Chris Avila will also be on the card, taking on a social media star known as ‘Doctor Mike’.

And you can watch the prelims for this event right here on Bloody Elbow. The stream above goes live at 7 PM ET.

According to Bloody Elbow, other than this being a career first for Paul, there are no titles or any other stakes on the line, just “pride.”

“I believe there’s a higher power, fully guiding my boxing career,” told Paul to Showtimes’ ‘All Access: Paul Vs. Silva’s show. “What I’m doing for the sport of boxing? The universe wants it to continue. Because the sports needs it and I think the youth—the next generation of kids—need this.”

On Silva’s end of things, the Brazil native appears to be partaking in the upcoming fight for the thrill of the sport.

“I don’t need to prove nothing for anybody,” says he. “The fight with Jake is a fight.

“Everybody talking about, ‘Oh, he’s young and this is [a] very dangerous fight?’ I do this for a very long time in my life. My entire life. Doesn’t matter your age. Age is not youth.”
