Robert Williams ruled out for rest of game vs. Cavs originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

Robert Williams won’t return in the second half of the Boston Celtics‘ Monday night matchup vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Celtics big man exited with left knee soreness and is ruled out for the remainder of the game, the team announced during halftime.

Williams had six rebounds in 13 minutes prior to his exit. While his removal from the game seems more precautionary than worrisome, it’s certainly a situation worth monitoring.

Entering Monday, Williams has averaged 10.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and two blocks through 12 games.
